Mobile Foodbank Reaches Woolwich – 186 People Supported

Tarem Services’ Mobile Foodbank has extended to Woolwich, providing food support to 186 residents in partnership with Brookhill Children’s Centre.

The first Woolwich distribution on 31 July 2025 supported 50 families, including three emergency walk-ins. Of those helped, 106 were children, underlining the urgent need for family-focused food support in Greenwich, where child poverty remains among the highest in London. The Mayor of Greenwich, Councillor Linda Bird, attended the distribution, supporting the collaborative effort behind the initiative.

This extension was made possible through the social value commitments of our local clients, Christ Church C of E Primary School and Notre Dame Catholic Primary School.

Since launching, the Mobile Foodbank has supported more than 1,300 people, bringing essentials directly to communities impacted by the rising cost of living.
