This month Tarem Services staff were delighted to join Serious Tissues (eco-friendly supplier) and other volunteers to mark National Tree Week to plant two new green corridors in Bicester, Oxfordshire.
All volunteers came together and planted along a riverbank and a bridleway, creating connectivity for local wildlife as well as helping introduce all the other wonderful benefits that trees and hedgerows can bring, such as pollution mitigation and flood prevention.
Tarem Area Supervisor, Thierry Moke, said: “It was brilliant to see many volunteers including one of Tarem’s suppliers, Serious Tissues coming together to plant for our future. This clearly shows we’re all committed to playing our part to reduce our environmental impact”.
National Tree Week is the UK’s largest annual tree celebration, organised by the Tree Council. Across the country, thousands of people planted trees to help support a greener future.
