Graduation Ceremony ‘Inspiring futures’ – Virtual Business Workshop pilot programme

Earlier this month, the first set of 5 young cohorts were proud to celebrate their success for completing ‘How to Set up and Run a Successful Business’ programme. The special celebration was hosted by Tarem Services, Unitas, Barnet Council, and Morgan Sindall Construction in Barnet.

Guests included mentors from Volkerfitzpatrick and other professional volunteers who supported the graduates on the programme.

Unitas Enterprise Coordinator, Michelle Allen commended the budding young entrepreneurs for their perseverance in completing the programme. With each graduate in attendance receiving a certificate along with some vouchers. As a result of the programme, the graduates teamed up to demonstrate their entrepreneurial skills, presenting their business idea at the event.

Michelle Allen, said: “The young people that participated in the programme had some really engaging conversations around the types of business they may possibly think about starting. The group managed to do some research and put together a presentation where they delivered their pitch to try and gain some funding to develop their ideas.

This programme has boosted each individual’s confidence and has helped to shape some of their future aspirations. I am looking forward to seeing if any of our budding entrepreneurs use what they have learnt on the programme to start networking to start building their empire!”

Commenting on the event, Tarem Services, Business Development Director, Torquil Allen, said: “This programme is already producing fantastic results. We are ever so proud of these young graduates who have gained a valuable experience from this programme, and they are going about the right way to now start their business. Morgan Sindall Construction value our differences which is why it has been a pleasure working with Unitas and Tarem on this enterprise initiative and I look forward to seeing the ideas from the group come to fruition.”
