Welcoming Diego Fernandez – Our New Head of Operations
At Tarem Services, we recognise that strong leadership comes from experience on the ground. That’s why we are pleased to welcome Diego Fernandez as our new Head of Operations.
Having started in the cleaning industry at a young age, Diego has worked at every level, gaining first-hand experience of the challenges that frontline teams face daily. Before joining Tarem Services in January 2025, he was a Regional Operations Manager, focusing on service quality, operational efficiency, and team development.
Why Diego Joined Tarem Services
Diego was drawn to Tarem Services’ focus on Living Wages, career development, and employee well-being. He values working in an environment where people are supported in their roles and have opportunities to progress.
“I found a company whose values align with my own – offering career growth opportunities and creating a workplace where employees feel valued and supported.”
Key Priorities & Projects
Since joining, Diego has been working on standardising cleaning procedures to ensure consistency and high standards across all sites.
“It’s about getting the basics right – clear expectations, good training, and ensuring teams feel confident in their work.”
This approach aligns with Tarem Services’ commitment to quality, efficiency, and sustainability in service delivery. By focusing on structured training, clear processes, and ongoing quality checks, we aim to ensure our teams feel equipped to do their best work.
Commitment to Clients & Service Standards
Delivering high standards in cleaning services goes beyond routine tasks – it’s about understanding client needs, effective communication, and attention to detail.
“Good service isn’t just about cleaning – it’s about working efficiently and ensuring teams have the right support to meet expectations.”
To strengthen this, Diego is enhancing quality checks and communication between managers and operatives so that any issues are identified and addressed early.
Aligning with Tarem Services’ Mission
Diego strongly supports Tarem Services’ mission to tackle in-work poverty and create an environment where employees are recognised, fairly compensated, and invested in the company’s success.
“Tarem Services’ commitment to tackling in-work poverty is something I really admire. Looking after employees properly benefits everyone – teams, clients, and the business as a whole.”
As part of this approach, Tarem Services operates as an employee-owned business, where staff become shareholders after six months of service, receiving profit shares.
With Diego’s leadership, we continue to prioritise employee well-being, service quality, and fair working conditions – values that have been at the core of Tarem Services for over two decades.
