Tarem Services Mobile Foodbank supports 200 Croydon residents

Deputy Mayor Councillor Lynne Hale joins volunteers at Tarem Services Mobile Foodbank

Tarem Services Mobile Foodbank Croydon supported around 200 residents facing financial hardship during a food distribution on Monday, 23 March 2026.

The initiative took place at Croydon Family Hub within the Samuel Coleridge Taylor Centre. Volunteers from Tarem Services, CBRE, and Zurich UK prepared and distributed 100 bags of essential food supplies.

The activity was delivered in a neighbourhood where Tarem Services provides cleaning services for Zurich UK through CBRE. This reflects a practical commitment to creating social value through corporate partnerships.

Since launching in October 2024, the Mobile Foodbank has supported more than 1,888 individuals across London. Continued demand highlights the growing pressure rising living costs place on households.

Deputy Mayor supports community initiative

Deputy Mayor of Croydon, Councillor Lynne Hale, attended the distribution.

She said:

“I was delighted to go along to the latest Tarem Services Mobile Foodbank in Croydon on Monday. By providing thoughtfully put together bags of essential food supplies, this dedicated team is really helping some of our most vulnerable families, at a time when they are struggling so much with the cost of living. Indeed, such was the demand, that Tarem Services with their social enterprise partners CBRE and Zurich UK, increased the number of bags of food supplies especially for this session. We are so grateful for this thoughtfulness.

It was so good to see the steady stream of people coming into the Croydon Family Hub at the Samuel Coleridge Taylor Centre, and leaving with some essential food supplies, knowing that people do care and are trying to support them.”

Partnership delivering local impact

The Mobile Foodbank forms part of Tarem Services’ wider mission to tackle in-work poverty and food insecurity. Collaboration with corporate partners enables the initiative to reach more vulnerable communities across London and in other UK locations.
