On Thursday, 19th December, Tarem Services Mobile Foodbank continued its mission to tackle food insecurity by participating in an inspiring community event. Hosted by Vineyard English School, Migrant Help, Croydon Voluntary Action (CVA), Blue Sky Consulting, and Good Food Matters, the event took place at CVA in Croydon.
A Day of Connection and Creativity
This heartwarming gathering welcomed refugees and asylum seekers for a day filled with creative activities, a shared meal, and moments of connection that fostered a strong sense of belonging.
Distributing Food Essentials
The Mobile Foodbank distributed 70 festive food essentials bags, made possible by the generous donation from CBRE and Zurich. Each bag contained milk, bread, tea, honey, biscuits, and some treats, supporting at least 2 people. Wrapped gifts donated to CVA added a special festive touch for recipients.
Building on Our Impact with the Foodbank Launch (October 2024)
Since launching the Mobile Foodbank in October, we have supported the communities we serve through 4 food distributions we’ve organised, reaching up to 700 people, including Tarem Services staff. These efforts reflect our ongoing commitment to addressing food insecurity and providing practical support to those in need.
Thank You to Our Partners
We are deeply grateful to the event organisers, the incredible volunteers, and our partners, CBRE and Zurich. Your contributions highlight the meaningful change that can be achieved through collective action.
Looking Ahead to 2025
As 2024 draws to a close, Tarem Services reaffirms its dedication to tackling food insecurity and uplifting communities. With your continued support, we look forward to extending our reach and making a greater difference in 2025.
